China's and Türkiye’s rich reserves of thick coal seams play a key role in securing national energy supplies. In recent years, with the continuous development of green intelligent mining technology, the coal industry is gradually entering a new stage of development. China and other countries in the world have accumulated rich academic achievements and engineering experience in this field, but they are also facing new opportunities and challenges. In order to promote the high-quality sustainable development of the global coal industry, summarize the academic achievements and engineering experience of thick coal seam mining theory and technology, and explore the future development direction of thick coal seam mining, the 2026 International Conference on Green Intelligent Mining of Thick Coal Seam & China-Türkiye Thick Coal Seam Summit 2026 is planned to be held in Zonguldak on April 16-18, 2026.
